Position Summary
Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods while maintaining food quality and quantity.
Communicate with chefs and food and beverage staff about assistance needs, specials, and unavailable menu items.
Kitchen Responsibilities
- Regulate the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
- Thaw frozen food in the refrigerator and ensure proper portioning, arrangement, garnish, and presentation.
- Maintain food logs and monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.
- Inform the chef about excess food for use in daily specials.
Workplace Responsibilities
- Follow company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
- Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
- Complete safety training and certifications and maintain a clean, professional appearance.
- Anticipate guest service needs and communicate clearly and professionally with others.
- Maintain positive working relationships and support the team in reaching common goals.
