Controls Designer

Mpac Langen Americas is looking for a Controls Designer to play a pivotal role in the design, debugging, and delivery of cutting‑edge automated packaging machinery. If you thrive in a hands‑on technical role and enjoy seeing complex machines come to life, from shop floor debugging to customer commissioning, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

You’ll work closely with Project Managers and Operations teams to ensure machines are delivered on time, on budget, and to specification , supporting projects from build through Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and customer installation.

Software programming and electrical debugging activities for Mpac Langen machinery

Prepare machines for debugging and FAT by powering up, verifying I/O wiring, and validating electrical circuits

Debug and test machines to ensure full compliance with project specifications

Load and modify PLC programs and perform programming on standard components

Set up servos, VFDs, and other motion/control devices

Develop offline programs for machines or specific machine functions

Prepare ladder logic design patches during installation and commissioning phases

Work closely with wiring teams to resolve electrical issues and approve machines for debugging

Provide programming support during customer FATs
