Pre-Contract Responsibilities
- Review Instructions to Tender documents and highlight potential risks to management.
- Review and amend Tender Conditions of Contract for compliance with company policy, UAE Federal Law, and industry best practices.
- Review bills of quantities, drawings, and scope of work and coordinate completeness with internal departments.
- Review insurance documents, bonds, and other deliverables and arrange required amendments.
- Review HSE and QC requirements and coordinate compliance with concerned departments.
- Lead client contractual correspondence, follow-up meetings, and correspondence until contracts are signed.
- Review and countersign Contract Agreements.
Post-Contract Management
- Explain contractual risks, clauses, obligations, and penalties to project managers and other departments.
- Prepare contractual correspondence, review incoming letters, and draft or formalize outgoing correspondence.
- Advise top management on contractual clauses and coordinate responses on its behalf.
- Issue pre-legal letters before initiating legal actions.
- Attend meetings with clients and contractors.
- Advise the Estimation Department on contractual strategies in offers to support project handover and closure.
Payment Collections and Cashflow
- Update billing logs and arrange weekly meetings to review collection targets with the team.
- Coordinate with Finance, collection officers, project managers, and top management on collection processes.
- Arrange weekly reviews to plan actions for non-recoverable funds.
- Follow up on commercial invoices, Letters of Credit, and Notices of Assignment.
