About the Role
#ABtalks is looking for a creative, detail-oriented Video Editor intern to craft engaging, platform-native content for social media. This 3-month unpaid internship offers real-world experience on a high-profile production, working with episode footage to create short-form edits.

Responsibilities
- Watch and analyze raw episode footage (90+ minutes) to identify compelling moments
- Learn to add clean English & Arabic subtitles across all content
- Develop consistency with #ABtalks' visual identity and tone
- Receive regular feedback and creative direction from the team
- Support the editing and delivery of per episode assets: Guest Introduction, Official Trailer, Guest Clip, Teasers, Call to Action Clip, Audio Podcast cut
- Assist in editing short form revival clips (15–60 sec) drawn from archive episodes
- Explore thematic, emotion driven edits (e.g. self growth, relationships, vulnerability)
- Get exposure to vertical platform best practices for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
- Experiment with pacing, music, and format under team guidance
- Apply subtitles, music, and basic motion graphics where applicable
- Join weekly brainstorm sessions and contribute fresh ideas
- Work closely with the social media team to understand how content strategy shapes editing decisions
Requirements
- Currently studying or recently graduated in Film, Media, Communications, or a related field
- Basic to intermediate experience with video editing software — Premiere Pro and/or After Effects is a strong plus
- A genuine interest in storytelling and content creation
- Eagerness to learn, take feedback, and improve with each edit
- Some exposure to editing for Reels, TikTok, or Shorts (even personal projects count)
- Organized and able to manage deadlines with support from the team
- Fluent in English & Arabic is a must
- Any experience with motion graphics or sound design is a plus
- Familiarity with #ABtalks or similar podcast/interview formats is a plus
- Interest in the intersection of culture, storytelling, and digital media is a plus

About the Role
- We’re looking for a creative, detail oriented Video Editor to craft engaging, platform native content for social media.
- This role is ideal for someone with strong storytelling instincts, a pulse on content trends, and the ability to deliver high quality, short form content on a consistent basis.
- You’ll also contribute to the show’s creative evolution through ideation, testing new formats, and repurposing content from past episodes into thematic, emotionally resonant clips.
- This is a 3 month unpaid internship designed to give emerging creatives real world experience on a high profile production.
What You'll Be Learning & Doing
- Watch and analyze raw episode footage (90+ minutes) to identify compelling moments.
- Learn to add clean English & Arabic subtitles across all content
- Develop consistency with #ABtalks' visual identity and tone
- Receive regular feedback and creative direction from the team
- Support the editing and delivery of the following per episode: 1x Guest Introduction (45–60 sec, 9x16 & 4x5), 1x Official Trailer (45–60 sec, 9x16 & 4x5), 1x Guest Clip (35–55 sec), 3x Teasers (15–25 sec), 1x Call to Action Clip (up to 3 min), 1x Audio Podcast cut (MP3 format)
