- Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications as appropriate

- Monitor patients' progress and modify treatment plans accordingly
- Provide psychiatric consultations for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency cases
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide timely interventions
- Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential medical records
- Supervise and mentor junior physicians, residents, and other clinical staff when applicable
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and CME
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, ethical standards, patient safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MBBS/MD) or equivalent
- Saudi Board, Arab Board, or equivalent Board Certification in Psychiatry
- Valid SCFHS registration and classification as Consultant Psychiatrist
- Minimum 5 years post board experience as Consultant Psychiatrist
- Valid BLS certification
- Proficiency in EMR

Job Summary
- The Consultant Psychiatrist is responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow up care for patients with mental health disorders.
- The role focuses on delivering high quality, patient centered care, ensuring patient safety, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the continuous improvement of mental health services.
Responsibilities

- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence based practices.

Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MBBS/MD) or equivalent.
- Saudi Board, Arab Board, or an equivalent Board Certification in Psychiatry.
- Valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) registration and classification as a Consultant Psychiatrist.
- Minimum of five (5) years of post board experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist.
- Strong clinical expertise in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and evidence based treatment.
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision making skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
