Responsibilities
- Install, test, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot medical devices used in clinics, operating rooms, ICUs, NICUs, radiology, and laboratory departments
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on medical equipment
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for equipment support
- Maintain technical documentation and equipment inventory
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and hospital policies
- Work closely with clinical and technical teams to support safe and efficient use of medical equipment
- Participate in equipment inspections and contribute to medical technology improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering
- Valid registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE)
- Valid classification/registration from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS), if applicable
- Strong foundation in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering
- Hands on experience with medical equipment used in hospitals
- Proficiency in equipment maintenance, including troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and performance verification
- Experience in planning and performing preventive maintenance programs
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality standards, and medical device safety requirements

Role Description
- The Biomedical Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and reliable operation of all medical equipment across the hospital.
- Day to day responsibilities include installing, testing, calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting medical devices used in clinics, operating rooms, ICUs, NICUs, radiology, and laboratory departments.
- The role also involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating with vendors and suppliers, maintaining technical documentation and equipment inventory, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and hospital policies.
- The Biomedical Engineer works closely with clinical and technical teams to support the safe and efficient use of medical equipment, participates in equipment inspections, and contributes to medical technology improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering.
- Valid registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
- Valid classification/registration from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS), if applicable.
- Strong foundation in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering.
