About the Role
NMC Healthcare LLC seeks a Consultant Gastroenterologist to provide specialized diagnosis and management of digestive tract diseases. The role involves performing endoscopic procedures, providing inpatient consultations, and supervising endoscopy staff.

Responsibilities
- Perform professional duties of a gastroenterologist in accordance with delineation of privileges
- Conduct assessment and reassessment for all patients in OPD, on admission, and prior to any procedure
- Perform GI procedures including upper and lower GI endoscopies, liver biopsies, ERCP, and esophageal motility studies
- Provide consultation and referral services to inpatient services in area of expertise
- Provide after hours on call emergency coverage for GI emergencies
- Provide supervision and education to endoscopy staff, nurses, and technicians
- Participate in quality assurance activities such as mortality and morbidity conference, peer review, audit, and chart review
Requirements
- Medical degree and specialization in Gastroenterology
- Experience in performing upper and lower GI endoscopies, liver biopsies, ERCP, and esophageal motility studies
- Ability to provide consultation and referral services for inpatients
- Ability to provide on call emergency coverage for GI emergencies

Job Purpose
- To provide specialized services to patients for the diagnosis and management of diseases of the digestive tract.
Responsibilities
- To perform the professional duties of a gastroenterologist in accordance with the delineation of privileges as recommended and approved by the Credentials Committee.
- To conduct assessment & re assessment for all patients in the OPD, on admission, and prior to any procedure.
- To perform his duties in the G.I Clinic, evaluating patients with G.I. diseases.
- To perform G.I. procedures upper and lower G.I. endoscopies, liver biopsies, E.R.C.P., esophageal motility studies.
- To provide consultation/referral services to the inpatient services in his area of expertise.
- Provides after working hours on call emergency coverage for G.I. emergencies.
- Provides supervision and education to the endoscopy staff, nurses and technicians.
- Participates and contributes to all the quality assurance activities of the service (e.g. monthly mortality and morbidity conference, peer review, audit and chart review).
