Role Overview
- Provide high quality, professional, and ethical clinical services to patients
- Monitor and manage clinical risks, maintain compliance with clinical governance and quality management standards

Responsibilities
- Continuously builds and shares knowledge to deliver expert service
- Identifies and understands real needs and expectations of clients
- Responds to client complaints in a timely and effective manner
- Keeps clients updated with relevant and accurate information
- Completes tasks in accordance with set procedures and guidelines
- Performs professional duties of an Otorhinolaryngology including various ENT/Head and Neck Surgeries
- Provides consultation to other physicians when problems fall into the field of ear, nose, throat, head and neck surgery
- Completes medical records promptly indicating diagnosis, treatment, and future courses of action
- Participates in all group conferences requiring the viewpoint of this specialty
- Collaborates with other departmental personnel in planning programs integrating curative and preventive aspects
- Is responsible for the operation of approved curative preventive programs
- Monitors work of other assigned staff to the Otorhinolaryngology Service for quality, quantity, correctness
Qualifications
- Experience in ENT and Head and Neck surgery
- Medical degree and specialization in Otorhinolaryngology
- Ability to perform complex surgical procedures
- Knowledge of clinical governance and quality standards
Occupational Safety and Health
- Comply with reasonable OSH instructions, policies and safe working procedures
- Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems
- Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures
- Not willfully or recklessly endanger anyone’s health and safety
- Assist with the preparation of risk assessments
- Report OSH Hazards, incidents, Near misses and issues
- Reduce, Reuse, Recycling of waste as much as possible
- Attend all OSH Trainings, awareness programs and mock drills
- Participates in the OSHMS audits, inspections, ensuring standards are maintained
Prevention and Control of Infection
- PCI is everyone’s responsibility; read and implement the NMC PCI Policy and Strategy
- Maintain strict hand hygiene, 5 moments of hand hygiene, bare below the elbows and environmental care
