About the Role
NMC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Consultant Anaesthesiologist to develop and implement anesthesia procedures, monitor patients, and coordinate with surgical teams. The role requires expertise in various anesthesia methods and patient care.

Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain anesthesia procedures and practices
- Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia; counteract adverse reactions
- Administer anesthetic or sedation using local, intravenous, spinal, caudal, or epidural methods
- Perform painless labour (epidural analgesia)
- Examine patients, obtain medical history, and use diagnostic tests to determine risk
- Coordinate administration of anesthetics with surgeons during operation
- Provide and maintain life support and airway management
- Manage anesthesiological services, coordinate with other medical activities
- Ensure adequate staff, equipment, and resources for patient needs
- Maintain quality control program
Requirements
- Medical degree and specialization in anaesthesia
- Active privilege per specialty, renewable every 2 years
- Experience in developing and implementing anesthesia procedures
- Ability to perform regional anesthesia and nerve block with ultrasound

Key Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and maintains anesthesia procedures and practices.
- Works closely with OT staff, hospital staffs, department directors, and physicians to ensure the highest standards of quality and service are maintained.
- Collaborate with the staffs of Anesthesia: technicians and nurses.
- Responsible for the efficient operation of anesthesia services.
- Physician will maintain an active Privilege per the specialty that is consistent with the scope of services and the required experiences to practice it, which is renewable every 2 years.
- Monitor patient before, during, and after anesthesia and counteract adverse reactions or complications.
- Record type and amount of anesthesia and patient condition throughout procedure.
- Provide and maintain life support and airway management and help prepare patients for emergency surgery.
- Administer anesthetic or sedation during medical procedures, using local, intravenous, spinal, or caudal methods or epidural – performing painless labour (epidural analgesia)
- Examine patient, obtain medical history, and use diagnostic tests to determine risk during surgical, obstetrical, and other medical procedures.
- Position patient on operating table to maximize patient comfort and surgical accessibility.
- Coordinate administration of anesthetics with surgeons during operation
