Construction Superintendent (Scaffolding)

Role Overview

Location and Work Setting

• The position is based onshore in Ras Laffan, Qatar.
• The role requires daily interaction with construction teams and contractor personnel.

Contract and Schedule

• The contract duration is three years.
• Working hours are 8 to 10 hours per day, six days per week.
• Leave rotation is 12 weeks on and 2 weeks off for single status, or 30 days annual leave for family status.

Job Purpose and Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise scaffolding execution by EPC contractors and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with construction sequence, project requirements, safety, quality, schedule, and company specifications.
• Communicate daily plans and apply permit-to-work and task-specific mitigation procedures.
• Review and approve scaffolding methodologies, work packs, rental quantities, and site procedures.
• Participate in construction risk assessment and constructability workshops.
• Report scaffolding progress, manpower deployment, and productivity metrics.
• Coordinate with the operating company, contractors, and project teams.
• Monitor material handling, scaffolding and equipment inspections, laydown procedures, and area management.
• Promote health, safety, environmental, and worker welfare standards.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma and discipline- or trade-specific vocational certification.
• At least eight years of large-project construction experience in relevant construction disciplines.
• Oil and gas industry experience.
• At least one year of supervisory experience, including oversight of service or vendor personnel.
