Job Purpose
The client is seeking an experienced Contracts Lead for a major offshore project.
The role manages EPCI, FEED, and Long Lead Item contract processes across the full contract lifecycle.
The position is based in Qatar Onshore – Doha, with 90% onshore and 10% offshore work.
Work Location
- Qatar Onshore – Doha, with offshore work forming approximately 10% of the role.
Employment Type
- Contract / Project-Based.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop contracting scenarios for strategy workshops and lead FEED, EPCI, and Long Lead Item contract preparation.
- Advise on technical bid evaluation plans and coordinate contractor compliance with contractual terms and regulations.
- Manage correspondence, change orders, claims, insurance, guarantees, negotiations, and contractual breaches.
- Coordinate with Supply and Legal teams on contractual matters and Long Lead Item contract transfers.
- Review agreements, recommend improvements, and manage contracts through completion and close-out.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a listed business, commercial, technical, legal, project, supply chain, or related discipline.
- At least 8 years of EPC contract management experience and 4 years of Oil & Gas industry experience.
- At least 1 year of supervisory or acting-role experience, or experience overseeing contractors, suppliers, or vendors.
- Experience in contract formulation and broad contract systems and processes.
- Knowledge of project business functions, international standards, risk assessment, and relevant software applications.
- Excellent English and strong negotiation, interpersonal, problem-solving, detail, and computer literacy skills.
