Construction Services Representative

Great River Engineering (GRE) is looking for a Construction Representative.

Typical projects are civil engineering public infrastructure projects for cities, counties, state agencies, and private developers.

Example projects are bridges, site development, water/sewer, roadways and sidewalks.

Under general supervision, you will provide on-site representation support on projects to check construction compliance with plans, specifications and contract documents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsibilities will include but are not be limited to the following:

• Read and interpret plans, details, specifications, and other contract documents. Recognize and report noted deviations from the contract documents.
• Provide accurate and thorough daily inspection reports and photo documentation.
• Perform field materials sampling and testing that includes tests for: concrete slump and air content, concrete compressive specimens, compaction, moisture, and aggregate gradation.
• Review and approve contractor’s application for payment and change orders including measuring and calculating quantities.
• Check layout and dimensions of work by utilizing tools and instruments.

This is a full-time position, with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week.
