Construction Manager – Freelance (m/f/d)

Your mission

Engagement

• This is a temporary freelance role lasting from ASAP through the end of May 2027.
• Candidates must have the documentation, permits, and/or visas required to work legally in Saudi Arabia for the assignment.

Project planning and delivery

• Manage construction and site installation activities for the assigned project.
• Develop construction schedules aligned with overall project timelines.
• Coordinate labour, equipment, subcontractors, and materials.
• Ensure work follows project specifications and drawings.
• Monitor progress, implement corrective actions, and support value engineering.

Site management

• Lead daily site operations during build-up and dismantle periods.
• Supervise contractors, suppliers, and freelance crews.
• Conduct site inspections and maintain accurate records and progress reports.
• Manage site logistics, access control, storage, and installation sequencing.

Health, safety and compliance

• Promote and enforce a strong health and safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, permits, venue requirements, and company HSE policies.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and risk assessments.
• Review method statements and construction documentation.
• Investigate and report incidents, near misses, and safety concerns.

Stakeholder management

• Act as the primary construction contact for project stakeholders.
• Coordinate with project managers, production teams, designers, venues, and clients.
• Attend project meetings, provide progress updates, and resolve site-related issues.

Budget and commercial oversight

• Monitor construction budgets and labour costs.
• Review supplier and subcontractor performance.
• Support procurement planning, resource allocation, change management, and variation tracking.

Your profile

• Minimum 5–7 years of construction management or civil engineering experience.
• Experience with projects in the Middle East.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, site management, and health and safety regulations.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction documentation.
• Experience managing subcontractors, freelance crews, and labour teams.
• Existing Saudi Arabia work documentation is required; Saudi-based candidates and fluent Arabic are advantageous.
