Role Overview
Work as a freelance Technical Project Manager supporting event-production projects across the UAE and KSA.
The focus is Audio, Video, and Lighting installations for exhibitions and live events.
Assignment Details
- This is a temporary freelance assignment starting as soon as possible.
- The expected duration is 2–3 months, with potential extension.
Work Arrangement
- The role includes onsite execution and field coordination across projects in the UAE and KSA.
- Candidates must be legally able to work in Saudi Arabia or the United Arab Emirates for the assignment duration.
Project Responsibilities
- Lead AVL projects from planning and design through procurement, build, onsite execution, and final handover.
- Manage Audio, Video, Lighting, rigging, staging, structures, scenic, and fit-out interfaces where applicable.
- Coordinate clients, technical planners, suppliers, subcontractors, crew, site managers, and internal teams.
- Manage schedules, quality, deadlines, budgets, cost control, risks, project reporting, and multiple workstreams.
- Support tenders, pre-production, technical reviews, scope definition, supplier quotations, and project planning.
- Negotiate and coordinate supplier packages, subcontractor packages, contracts, variations, and pricing decisions.
- Plan resources and manpower using EasyJob and coordinate QHSE, HSE, and QA/QC requirements.
- Conduct project reviews and report project status, progress, costs, and risks through closeout.
Required Profile
- Extensive AVL event project or technical management experience is required.
- Technical knowledge of Audio, Video, and Lighting systems and control is required.
- Experience with entertainment technologies for large-scale installations and large-budget management is required.
- English proficiency, strong communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
- Candidates must understand technical, business, and contractual relationships and be commercially minded.
- Candidates must have the documentation, permits, and visas needed to work legally in the UAE or Saudi Arabia.
Additional Expectations
- The role requires flexibility according to live-event industry requirements.
- Experience opening new client opportunities and expanding existing relationships is required.
