Construction Manager

Leading the delivery of construction and installation activities, managing project teams, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve safety, quality, programme and cost objectives.

Driving effective project controls, including planning, budgeting, reporting, risk management, change control and resource utilisation throughout the project lifecycle.

Building strong relationships with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for site construction and interface matters.

Championing a positive safety and environmental culture, ensuring compliance with company procedures, industry standards and all health, safety and environmental requirements.

Monitoring supplier and subcontractor performance, conducting audits and inspections, and ensuring all site works, equipment and documentation meet contractual and quality requirements.

Overseeing site progress through to successful completion and handover, providing leadership, performance management and clear communication across the construction team.

Proven experience managing construction, installation or infrastructure projects within the rail, signalling, civil engineering or a related engineering environment.

Strong understanding of project and contract management principles, including planning, budgeting, risk management, change control and stakeholder management.

Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across customers, suppliers, subcontractors and project teams.

Demonstrable commitment to health, safety and environmental excellence, with experience fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring regulatory and procedural compliance.
