Job purpose

Construction leadership

• Champion project safety culture, behaviors, and engagement activities.
• Identify, evaluate, and resolve construction issues during the different work phases.
• Maintain an effective construction-site safety plan through construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up.
• Coordinate with PMC home-office disciplines and maintain cooperation between PMC, contractors, and the owner.
• Coordinate with licensors for construction-site visits and inspections.

Contractor and site oversight

• Review contractor construction procedures, specifications, method statements, and fabrication drawings.
• Review contractor organization, coordination procedures, manpower plans, and schedules.
• Provide constructability input to model reviews and monitor construction resources against project priorities.
• Monitor equipment and material delivery, handling, storage, maintenance, preservation, and installation.
• Review permits to work and coordinate with owner operations and maintenance personnel.
• Monitor contractor work, quality, contract compliance, and project schedule performance.
• Supervise contractor construction inspection activities and monitor corrective actions.

Progress and closeout

• Audit site progress against the project schedule, report delays to the owner, and propose corrective actions.
• Approve Mechanical Completion and Ready for Commissioning certificates.
• Monitor and review construction work packs and closeout dossiers.
• Evaluate contractor claims for change orders or schedule extensions and recommend appropriate action.
• Approve contractor physical progress reports used for progress payments.
• Ensure marked-up as-built drawings are prepared, reviewed, and issued in final form for handover.
