Role Overview
The Construction Area Manager oversees contractor and subcontractor construction activities for a major oil and gas project.
The role is responsible for safe execution, budget, schedule, construction readiness, facility start-up, and project delivery.
The stated work location is Qatar.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage contractor and subcontractor construction activities within approved budget and schedule.
- Drive construction readiness and execution to support flawless facility start-up.
- Promote incident-free operations through monitoring and leadership engagement.
- Monitor progress, costs, manpower, productivity, milestones, and deliverables against approved baselines.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams.
- Review construction methodologies, work packs, lifting plans, and site procedures.
- Optimize resources and sequencing, resolve constraints and interfaces, and participate in recovery planning.
- Communicate with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams and provide senior-level status updates.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering is required.
