Role overview
The Geospatial Data Standards Manager develops and maintains geospatial data standards to support interoperability, consistency, and accuracy.
The role ensures that data quality control procedures support accurate, consistent, and efficient collection, analysis, and dissemination of geospatial data.
The position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and supports BAE Systems operations in the defense and aerospace environment.
Job accountabilities
- Develop and maintain geospatial data standards.
- Provide guidance on metadata creation and management, data quality control, and data normalization.
- Ensure adherence to geospatial standards and protocols.
- Analyze geospatial data to support military operations and decision-making.
- Provide technical support for geospatial data management and visualization.
- Maintain knowledge of geospatial data standards, policies, and regulations.
Essential requirements
- Master’s degree in Geospatial Information or a related field.
- ISO geospatial data standards certification, including ISO 19100 and ISO 9001.
