Connectors are C#/.NET Windows services running on laboratory PCs without a web stack.

The role requires a generalist who can make unfamiliar systems reliable across varied integration methods.

The position is located in Mumbai or Pune and is onsite.
The employment type is full-time.
The role reports to an Engineering Manager.

How Engineering Works

Engineers deliver complete features and work out how to communicate with target systems, understand data, ensure reliability, and prove results.

AI coding tools are used daily for design, generation, testing, and documentation, with engineers accountable for reviewing the output.

Connectors operate in validated GxP laboratories, where data integrity, traceability, and auditability are design constraints.

The team values engineers who identify problems, propose solutions, learn from mistakes, and bring ideas back to the team.

Key Outcomes

Deliver complete connectors into customer laboratories through discovery, design, implementation, testing, validation evidence, and documentation.
Take a target system from vendor identification to a working plan without waiting for a task breakdown.
Improve shared connector frameworks and tooling so each subsequent connector is faster to deliver.
Use AI tooling to shorten the path from vendor documentation, or its absence, to working code.
Senior and Lead engineers own connector architecture and set engineering standards for colleagues.

Responsibilities

Design and build C#/.NET Windows service connectors for instruments and laboratory systems.
Work with REST, vendor SDKs, COM/OLE, file systems, databases, serial protocols, and network protocols.
Build for locked-down laboratory PCs, restricted networks, and systems that cannot be restarted freely.
Meet data integrity and validation requirements.
Use agentic development tools and critically review their output.
Troubleshoot integration issues in customer environments.
Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies.
Senior and Lead engineers lead integration spikes and mentor colleagues.

Must-Have Qualifications

Strong C# and .NET experience, including long-running Windows Services or equivalent.
Experience making integrations reliable when working with systems the candidate did not build or cannot change.
Ability to investigate systems from incomplete or missing documentation.
Daily hands-on use of AI coding tools and judgment to identify incorrect output.
A record of delivering work from goals rather than task lists.
Solid engineering fundamentals in design, testing, and debugging.
Git and CI/CD experience in a team setting.

Good-to-Have Qualifications

COM/OLE, Windows API, instrument protocols such as serial, GPIB, or TCP/IP, or file-based integrations.
Laboratory informatics or scientific instrument experience, including LIMS, ELN, CDS, or chromatography.
Regulated software experience with GxP, GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, or data integrity.
Messaging systems, distributed or event-driven design, Node.js, TypeScript, cloud services, or AWS.
Experience building AI agents or working with MCP servers.

Connectors reach customer laboratories without requiring a fully written plan.

Product, quality, services, and platform colleagues trust the engineer’s judgment.
