Role Description
The Compliance Director will oversee the organization’s compliance framework, focusing on legal, regulatory, and financial obligations.
This is a part-time remote role.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and monitor the organization’s compliance framework.
- Review and update policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure internal processes align with applicable laws and regulations.
- Prepare compliance reports and advise leadership on emerging regulatory issues.
- Coordinate responses to regulatory audits and inquiries.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to address compliance gaps.
- Provide guidance and training on compliance standards.
- Support ethical decision-making and monitor compliance performance metrics.
- Recommend improvements based on compliance monitoring.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in compliance management and regulatory compliance, including comprehensive compliance program design.
- Demonstrated legal compliance experience interpreting laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Advanced analytical skills for risk assessment and control evaluation.
- Solid understanding of finance, financial controls, reporting standards, and risk management.
- Experience in a compliance leadership role is required; regulated-sector experience is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High integrity, sound judgment, and ability to work independently remotely and part-time.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- CCEP, CRCM, or an equivalent professional certification is advantageous.
