NAS is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Support Worker to join our team at the Keddie Group Home in Northeast Calgary. In this role, you will support individuals with developmental disabilities and complex support needs to achieve their personal goals, maintain their well-being, and actively participate in their communities.
The successful candidate will be comfortable providing personal care, supporting individuals with complex behavioural needs, and responding calmly and professionally in challenging situations. Some individuals may display physical aggression, verbal outbursts, or property damage; therefore, experience with behavioural support strategies and crisis response is considered an asset. Comprehensive behavioural support plans and training will be provided.
This position also requires transporting individuals to medical appointments and community activities, including recreational programs such as swimming.
