Community Engagement Coordinator

You have a passion for community engagement, event and program coordination.

You never turn down a challenge. You’re always ready to educate and train in a fun, fresh way.

You’re a spirited team player but also comfortable working independently. You’re a master at getting people involved and engaged with all the events and activities you coordinate.

You get the importance of tying events and corporate purpose activities back to the Association and the brand.

You love to organize, understand the process is the foundation of any successful job, and have great attention to detail.

You love the challenge of breaking through the clutter with innovative, creative, and impactful ways to train school patrol teams and undertake community events.

You get that at the end of the day, great work is fun work. You love to laugh and have the ability to take a heavy workload in stride.

Report to the Supervisor, Community Engagement.

Provide administrative support including Equipment and Inventory Management.

Coordinate AMA events and liaise with staff, vendors, and stakeholders.

Coordinate and deliver effective AMA school safety programs to ensure ongoing operation excellence.

Represent AMA as a brand ambassador with all of AMA’s community partners.

Promote key AMA advocacy messaging while helping to enhance AMA’s brand in the community.

You have a high school diploma or post-secondary diploma in related fields. A Degree in communications, marketing, early childhood development or community development is an asset.

You have one to two years of experience in applicable fields, such as public relations, program coordination, event management, sponsorship and print production is an asset.

Your demonstrated communications or marketing skills would be considered an asset.

You hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract and access to a personal vehicle.

You can produce a bondable, vulnerable sector reference check (police check).

You have some first aid training or willing to take first aid training.
