Role Overview

  • The Technology Innovation Institute’s Marketing and Communications – Shared Services team supports entities across Abu Dhabi’s Advanced Technology Research Council on communications and marketing.
  • We are seeking a skilled Communications Consultant to support Venture One, ATRC’s commercialization arm and venture builder, in strengthening its position as the UAE’s deep tech commercialization engine.
  • This role will support external communications across earned media, owned channels, stakeholder engagement, and events, helping build credibility with industry partners, investors, clients, government stakeholders, media, and future talent.
  • The ideal candidate is a confident, skilled communicator and a capable project manager who can move work from planning to execution.

Communication Planning and Support

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify audience priorities, industry trends, competitor activity, and communications opportunities.
  • Support the development and delivery of communications plans for projects, campaigns, events, partnerships, and portfolio initiatives.
  • Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders, agencies, and the events team to align messaging, timelines, deliverables, and approvals.

Content Development and Review

  • Create, edit, and review content across multiple platforms, including press releases, articles, website copy, LinkedIn content, social media posts, event materials, briefing notes, case studies, and marketing collateral.
  • Work with internal teams and external agencies to develop content that aligns with our brand voice, key messages, audience priorities, and strategic narrative.
  • Support the social media agency by providing clear briefs, reviewing content, coordinating inputs, and ensuring posts reflect the organization’s positioning, tone, and priorities.
  • Help make complex technologies, partnerships, and venture building activity clear, accurate, and compelling for external audiences.

Media and Public Relations

  • Monitor current events, industry trends, media narratives, and public sentiment to identify opportunities, risks, and angles.
  • Support media coverage and brand visibility by helping develop story ideas, pitches, media materials, and spokesperson opportunities in collaboration with the agency.
  • Support media monitoring, coverage tracking, and reporting.
  • Prepare briefing materials, talking points, and background notes for media engagements, interviews, and events.

Events and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Support communications planning and delivery for events, roundtables, and speaking engagements.
  • Coordinate with the events team to ensure messaging, invitations, agendas, speaker materials, and digital/printed content are aligned with stakeholder needs, of high quality, and delivered on time.
  • Help identify content opportunities before, during, and after events, including social media coverage, key takeaways, and stakeholder updates.
  • Support direct stakeholder outreach by helping prepare emails, event materials, and other engagement assets.

Internal Reporting and Briefing

  • Support regular internal reporting across media, social media, events, stakeholder engagement, and communications activity.
  • Help prepare briefing documents, updates, and summaries for the leadership team.
  • Track key deliverables, timelines, approvals, and outputs across workstreams.
  • Capture campaign, event, and content performance to support planning and continuous improvement.

Preferred Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience in a semi government or complex enterprise environment, supporting communications campaigns, events, and stakeholder initiatives.
  • Excellent English writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear, engaging content across media, digital, and stakeholder channels.
  • Arabic language skills would be an advantage.
  • Strong media relations skills, including press activity, media materials, story development, and coverage support.
  • Ability to translate complex technical, commercial, and strategic topics for non technical audiences.
  • Experience coordinating with agencies, including briefing, reviewing deliverables, managing feedback, and tracking approvals.
  • Experience supporting event communications, including messaging, speaker materials, invitations, promotional content, and briefing notes.
  • Experience supporting social media, including content planning, copy review, agency coordination, and campaign execution.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across internal teams, senior stakeholders, portfolio companies, agencies, and partners.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, timelines, deliverables, and approvals.
  • Good judgment, attention to detail, and confidence working in a fast moving, multi stakeholder environment.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in communications, marketing, and stakeholder engagement.
