Position and Project

The position is Commissioning Instrument Supervisor with Telecom Specialist specialization.

The project is Hail and Ghasha 4422 in the UAE.

Work Location and Rotation

  • The job location is Al Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
  • The role is contractual from 15 October 2026.
  • The rotation is 60 days on site and 10 days off, with two paid travel days.

Role Description

The supervisor executes commissioning activities in the instrument discipline through responsible instrument specialists.

The role must comply with quality requirements, health, environmental, and safety regulations, and stated procedures.

The position reports to the Commissioning Instrument Superintendent.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed pre-commissioning procedures and functional test procedures for instrument items and packages.
  • Coordinate instrument specialists and field-check the DAC while preparing commissioning punch lists.
  • Monitor work for compliance with procedures and requirements.
  • Manage subcontractor field teams and plant safety procedures, including emergency situations.
  • Support and supervise vendor specialists and coordinate their activities with commissioning supervisors.
  • Maintain field safety, activity logbooks, progress monitoring, and recovery actions.
  • Coordinate client witnessing, certificates, and handover to the certification engineer.
  • Receive or issue permits to work when authorized and expedite pending punch list items.

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • University degree or diploma in a relevant discipline or an equivalent qualification.
  • At least eight years of relevant experience constructing large oil and gas plants or EPC projects.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and management skills.
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, and able to provide direction with a focus on timely performance and problem resolution.
