Position Overview
The position is Commissioning Engineer - Offshore in Doha, Qatar.
The role supports EPIC and oil and gas projects, with an offshore focus and preferred exposure to EPC, wellhead jackets, and offshore platforms.
Key Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical field.
- At least 12 years of commissioning experience, including at least 3 years on offshore projects such as wellhead jackets.
- Experience managing commissioning on large-scale industrial, EPC/EPIC oil and gas, or power generation projects.
- A proven record of commissioning complex systems and managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Offshore commissioning experience is required.
Technical Skills
- Deep knowledge of commissioning processes, technical systems, equipment, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience preparing commissioning engineering documents, method statements, and handover dossiers.
- Experience with pre-commissioning, commissioning, operability and interface reviews, and ICAPS or WinPCS.
- Ability to drive mechanical completion through facility handover.
Project Delivery Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve commissioning issues and implement effective solutions.
- Manage projects, track progress, and deliver commissioning milestones on schedule.
- Identify and mitigate commissioning risks and manage budgets and costs.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers.
Professional Capabilities
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with project stakeholders.
- High attention to detail to ensure systems meet specifications, quality, and safety requirements.
- Deep understanding of HSE regulations and safe commissioning practices.
