Support the AVEVA/OSIsoft PI historian during FAT/SAT, commissioning, and early operations.
The assignment supports a major QatarEnergy project.
Location and Role Type
- The role is based in Qatar with onshore and offshore work.
- The role type is field and commissioning support from FAT/SAT through early operations.
- On-site support is required for PI System installation, configuration, and validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site support for PI System installation, configuration, and validation.
- Configure and validate DCS, SCADA, and RTU interfaces into the PI System.
- Execute data validation, performance checks, buffering verification, and redundancy testing.
- Support FAT/SAT, commissioning, and early-operations historian troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with customer data, historian, and reporting requirements.
Required Experience
- Strong knowledge of PI Server, Interfaces, and Data Archive.
- Experience integrating PI with DCS, SCADA, or RTU systems in process industries.
- Understanding of buffering, redundancy, and performance tuning in PI.
- Prior site commissioning experience with PI or similar historians is mandatory.
- Background in automation, instrumentation, or IT/OT systems within oil and gas or related sectors.
- Good communication skills and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
