About the Opportunity Based in Henderson the Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for planning and executing commissioning activities for piping systems and mechanical equipment on a newbuild and ship repair projects. The role ensures systems are installed, tested, and commissioned safely, in compliance with project specifications, applicable codes/standards, and schedule requirements, and are ready for handover to operations. What’s Involved Execute commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules for piping and mechanical systems Carry out commissioning activities with program management, QA/QC, design engineering, vendors, client, class representatives and other production team members as required Verify mechanical and system comletions and readiness for commissioning Ensuring correct installation, alignment, lubrication, and preservation of equipment prior to start-up Plan and execute pre-commissioning and commissioning activities in accordance with internal ITPs Support initial start-up, troubleshooting of mechanical and piping systems Participate in risk assessments, method statements, and toolbox talks Complete commissioning records, test packs, and punch lists, ITPs as required for OQE You’ll Need Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline/ Mechanical or Mechatronic trade certificate/ Maritime Engine driver or Technician certificate Strong knowledge of piping systems, mechanical equipment, and commissioning process Familiar with industry codes and standards Experience with systemisation, MC/RFC processes, and punch list management Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometric, datasheets, and vendor manuals 5+ years experience in mechanical/piping construction and commissioning on ship newbuild projects Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance Why Join Us?
