Role Overview
The Commis Chef – Pastry/Bakery supports the assigned pastry and bakery kitchen sections.
The role follows recipes and quality standards set by the Executive Chef to support member satisfaction.
Main Duties
- Prepare and cook pastry and bakery products under the direction of the senior chef.
- Maintain product consistency, quality, presentation, and sufficient quantities during service.
- Keep kitchen and preparation areas clean and maintain kitchen tools and equipment.
- Follow hygiene, stock rotation, storage, temperature control, pest control, and reporting procedures.
- Help reduce food waste, overproduction, and unnecessary supply orders.
Experience and Skills
- Minimum two years of experience in the same or a similar role in a luxury hotel or fine-dining restaurant.
- Internationally recognized professional certification and excellent English are required.
