The First Group Hospitality is a Dubai-headquartered hospitality management company specializing in hotel operations, asset management, and food and beverage strategy.
The role is based at The First Collection Business Bay, a 437-room hotel in Dubai with dining, leisure, and guest facilities.
Key responsibilities
- Wash, peel, cut, and prepare ingredients.
- Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation and cooking tasks.
- Follow instructions, recipes, portion standards, and food-safety procedures.
- Keep workstations, utensils, and equipment clean and organized.
- Store, label, date, and rotate food items properly.
- Assist during daily service, banquets, and hotel events.
- Minimize food wastage and use ingredients responsibly.
- Report shortages, damaged equipment, and other concerns to the supervisor.
- Maintain personal hygiene and follow hotel health and safety standards.
- Work cooperatively with colleagues and assist other kitchen sections when required.
Qualifications and experience
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food preparation.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Reliability, hard work, and ability to work as part of a team.
- Previous kitchen experience is advantageous, but trainees may be considered.
