Key responsibilities
- Assist with preparing ingredients, sauces, garnishes, and basic menu items.
- Follow recipes, preparation methods, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Support the Chef de Partie during daily service, banquets, and events.
- Keep the assigned workstation clean, organized, and ready for service.
- Store, label, date, and rotate food items correctly.
- Maintain food hygiene, HACCP, and health and safety standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and report defects or concerns.
- Minimize food wastage and use ingredients responsibly.
- Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Work cooperatively with the kitchen team and assist other sections when required.
Qualifications and experience
- Previous experience as a Commis III or in a similar kitchen role is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn.
