Accor is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Commis II for Novotel & Adagio Premium Dubai Al Barsha.
The role supports professional kitchen operations, culinary preparation, food safety, and service in a luxury hospitality setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients including chopping, marinating, and grinding spices according to standardized recipes.
- Support cooking under the supervision of the Chef de Partie and senior chefs.
- Maintain portion control and recipe consistency across dishes.
- Follow HACCP protocols and local food safety regulations.
- Store, label, and rotate food using FIFO to minimize waste and preserve freshness.
- Assist senior chefs during service and respond efficiently to kitchen demands.
- Inspect ingredient quality and freshness and report concerns to supervisors.
- Handle kitchen equipment safely and follow operational guidelines.
- Maintain dish presentation standards.
- Support buffet setups and live kitchen operations.
- Follow grooming, discipline, and professional conduct standards.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a 4-star or 5-star hotel.
- Basic training or certification in cuisine preparation and cooking techniques.
