THE TEAM

  • Within the Pastry team, every dessert, pastry, and baked creation reflects the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • As a Commis – Bakery, you will report to the Sous Chef and work alongside talented culinary professionals.

YOUR ROLE

  • As a Commis – Bakery, you will support the preparation and production of high quality pastry items, ensuring recipes, presentation standards, and food safety requirements are consistently met.
  • You will play an important role in maintaining an organized, hygienic, and efficient kitchen environment while developing your pastry skills.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

  • Prepare mise en place and pastry items according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Support daily pastry operations while ensuring readiness for service periods.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation in line with local regulations and hotel requirements.
  • Follow stock rotation procedures and ensure proper storage of ingredients and prepared items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and preparation areas.
  • Contribute to a safe and efficient kitchen environment through teamwork and attention to detail.

COULD THIS BE YOU?

  • You have experience working in a pastry kitchen within a hotel, restaurant, bakery, or similar culinary environment.
  • You are passionate about pastry, baking, and creating high quality products.
  • You have a strong understanding of food hygiene, safety, and sanitation practices.
  • You are organized, detail oriented, and committed to maintaining high culinary standards.
  • You thrive in a fast paced environment and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team.
  • You communicate effectively in English and are eager to learn and develop your culinary skills.
