- Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items under the supervision of senior chefs
- Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistency and quality
- Prepare ingredients such as chopping, cutting, marinating, and portioning
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of food items
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP/EFS)
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries
- Support the kitchen team during service to ensure timely food preparation
- Minimize food wastage and follow portion control guidelines
- Assist in opening and closing duties
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a central kitchen or restaurant
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Basic knife skills and food preparation techniques
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Flexible with shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Attention to detail and able to follow instructions
- Willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field
