Job Responsibilities

  • Preparing ingredients for Moroccan dishes, including chopping, peeling, and seasoning, particularly for tagines, salads, and grilled meats.
  • Assisting with the cooking and plating of dishes to the restaurant’s standards.
  • Receiving deliveries and ensuring proper storage and rotation of specialized ingredients like spices, olives, and herbs.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all food items are handled according to hygiene protocols.
  • Measuring and portioning ingredients to reduce waste and ensure consistency.
  • Supporting other kitchen staff and working under the direction of the Chef de Partie

Requirements

  • **Experience:** Generally requires 1–3 years of professional kitchen experience, with specialized knowledge in Moroccan cuisine.
  • **Culinary Knowledge:** Familiarity with traditional Moroccan ingredients such as ras el hanout, preserved lemons, argan oil, and saffron.
  • **Skills:** Strong knife skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • **Education:** Culinary certificate or similar training is often preferred.
  • **Physical Demands:** Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
  • Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,500.00 per hour
