Job Purpose
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated **Commis Chef** to join our team.
The role supports kitchen operations in both hot kitchen and pastry sections, ensuring high-quality food preparation, consistency, and adherence to company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in daily food preparation for hot kitchen and pastry items in line with company standards
- Prepare a variety of items including pastries, cakes, sandwiches, and baked goods
- Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, and workstations
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and stock rotation using **FIFO method**
- Support in receiving and storing deliveries accurately
- Assist in inventory control and stock monitoring
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
- Maintain prep lists and complete assigned station duties efficiently
- Support senior chefs and follow instructions promptly
- Assist in handling basic customer feedback related to food quality when required
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum **2–3 years of experience** in hot kitchen and/or pastry section
- Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills in English
- Culinary diploma or certification is an advantage
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
