Key Responsibilities
- Support the pastry team with daily preparation and basic production tasks.
- Assist with mise en place, including weighing, measuring, portioning, and preparing ingredients.
- Support basic pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and other pastry products under supervision.
- Follow recipes and instructions from the Chef de Partie and senior pastry team.
- Assist with finishing, decoration, and presentation of pastry products.
- Maintain a clean and organized pastry workstation, equipment, and utensils.
- Ensure proper ingredient storage, labeling, and handling.
- Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with breakfast, buffet, banquet, and special event production when required.
- Handle ingredients and equipment responsibly and help minimize food wastage.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous kitchen or pastry experience is preferred, and fresh culinary graduates are encouraged to apply.
- A Culinary or Pastry qualification is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of pastry and baking techniques is required.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards is required.
- Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and willingness to develop are required.
- Ability to follow instructions, work in a team, maintain cleanliness, and perform in a fast-paced kitchen is required.
- Passion for pastry and interest in a culinary career are required.
