Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Pastry team with daily preparation and basic production tasks.
- Assist with mise en place, including weighing, measuring, portioning, and preparing ingredients.
- Support the preparation of basic pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and other pastry products under supervision.
- Follow recipes and instructions provided by the Chef de Partie and senior pastry team.
- Assist with the finishing, decoration, and presentation of pastry products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry workstation, equipment, and utensils.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of ingredients.
- Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Assist the team during breakfast, buffet, banquet, and special event production when required.
- Handle ingredients and equipment carefully and responsibly.
- Support the team in minimizing food wastage.
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous kitchen or pastry experience is preferred; fresh culinary graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Culinary or Pastry qualification is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of pastry and baking techniques.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
- Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and willingness to develop.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Passion for pastry and a genuine interest in building a culinary career.
