Commis III position in the Kitchen or Culinary department.
The role supports daily food preparation, cooking, mise-en-place, and kitchen operations while maintaining food quality, hygiene, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and daily mise-en-place as instructed by the Chef.
- Assist with cooking and food preparation according to standard recipes.
- Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and quality of food.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the assigned workstation and kitchen equipment.
- Follow HACCP, food safety, and health and safety standards.
- Store, label, and rotate food items using FIFO principles.
- Minimize food wastage and support proper stock control.
- Assist the Demi Chef de Partie or Chef de Partie during daily operations and service.
- Use kitchen equipment safely and report defects or hazards.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and timely food production.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Management.
Requirements
- One to two years of experience as a Commis III or in a similar kitchen role.
- Hotel, restaurant, or high-volume kitchen experience is preferred.
- A culinary qualification is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Good knowledge of hygiene and food safety practices.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork, discipline, and willingness to learn.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Pay
- Pay is AED 100–AED 200 per month.
Work Location
- Work location is in person.
