Role Overview
Support the culinary team in food preparation and production while maintaining quality, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
Work under the guidance of the Chef de Partie and senior chefs while developing culinary skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and food items according to approved recipes and complete mise en place for the assigned section.
- Assist senior chefs with cooking, plating, and food preparation during service.
- Store, label, and rotate food products according to FIFO procedures.
- Maintain clean and organized workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas.
- Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Control food waste, check ingredient quality, and report concerns.
- Handle kitchen equipment safely and support other kitchen sections during busy periods.
- Follow culinary team instructions and comply with hotel policies and brand standards.
Qualifications
- Previous culinary experience in a hotel, restaurant, or similar hospitality environment is preferred.
