Role Overview
The employer is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Commis Chef.
The role focuses on healthy, nutritious, and balanced food preparation.
The Commis Chef will support senior chefs with daily kitchen operations while maintaining hygiene, consistency, presentation, and food quality.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or in a professional kitchen is preferred.
- Knowledge or experience in healthy food, clean eating, meal preparation, or wellness-focused cuisine is advantageous.
- Have a basic understanding of nutrition and portion control.
- Have knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
- Have good knife skills and basic cooking skills.
- Be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Have good teamwork and communication skills.
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Be able to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with healthy meal preparation is preferred.
- Knowledge of calorie-conscious and high-protein meals is preferred.
- Understanding of vegetarian and plant-based food is preferred.
- Knowledge of food allergies and dietary requirements is preferred.
