Strategic Commercial Planning
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to achieve sales and profit targets
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior
- Recommend product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Oversee buying and procurement for multiple categories
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors
Pricing & Profitability
- Set pricing strategies to maximize sales and margins
- Monitor profitability and adjust plans based on performance
- Track gross margin contribution per category
Promotion & Marketing Coordination
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns and offers
- Work closely with marketing and store teams for campaign execution
- Analyze promotion performance and recommend improvements
Inventory & Stock Control
- Ensure optimal inventory levels and stock rotation
- Coordinate with supply chain and warehouse teams for timely product availability
- Minimize wastage, shrinkage, and overstocking
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze sales performance, KPIs, and category trends
- Prepare reports for senior management with actionable insights
- Monitor category performance and take corrective actions
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the commercial and buying team
- Ensure alignment of team objectives with company goals
- Promote a high-performance and customer-focused culture
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
