The Commercial Manager oversees contractual and commercial aspects of buildings projects.
The role supports project delivery on time and within budget while managing compliance, claims, and variations.
Your role
- Manage and administer contracts and negotiate terms with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Monitor project budgets, costs, financial performance, invoicing, payment collection, and reporting.
- Prepare claims, variations, and change orders, and conduct risk assessments with mitigation planning.
- Provide commercial advice, maintain records, and collaborate with project stakeholders to resolve disputes.
- Report commercial performance and contractual issues to senior management.
About you
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, law, or a related field.
- Proven experience in contract management and commercial roles within buildings projects.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC, NEC, or other standard construction contract forms.
- Proficiency in contract administration, claims management, dispute resolution, and cost control.
- Strong negotiation, communication, leadership, financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
