Job Summary
Seaworks Company is seeking an experienced and results-driven Commercial Manager to join its team in Qatar.
This is a key leadership role covering commercial management, contracts, procurement, tendering, claims, and project cost control.
Candidates with backgrounds in Marine, Offshore, Dredging, Oil & Gas, EPC, or Heavy Civil Infrastructure are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial and contractual activities across company projects.
- Prepare, review, negotiate, and administer contracts, subcontracts, MOUs, and agreements.
- Manage claims, variations, extensions of time, disputes, notices, and contract close-out.
- Monitor project budgets, cost control, cash flow, and financial performance.
- Lead procurement, supplier selection, purchasing, and vendor negotiations.
- Manage tender preparation, pricing, commercial qualifications, and bid submissions.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Finance, HSE, and Procurement teams.
- Oversee logistics, material procurement, transportation, shipping, and project mobilization.
- Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks.
- Lead and mentor Commercial, Contracts, Procurement, Logistics, and Tender teams.
- Provide commercial reports, advice, and recommendations to senior management.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of commercial management experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role.
- Experience in Marine, Offshore, Dredging, Oil & Gas, EPC, or Heavy Civil Infrastructure is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of contracts, procurement, tendering, claims, cost control, and commercial management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Law, or a related field.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
