Experience & Education

Minimum of 12 months of commercial credit analyst experience in a financial institution is required; 2-3 years of experience is preferred.

Proven experience in preparing written presentations, including credit memorandums, credit requests, and annual reviews, with supporting analytical reports.

B.S./B.A. in Accounting, Finance, or General Business is required.

Completion of 9 hours of coursework in accounting is preferred.

Completion of 12 hours of coursework in finance is preferred.

Skills & Qualifications:

Proficiency in financial statement analysis, including the use of financial analysis software.

Advanced skills Microsoft Excel and Word.

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across various teams and with external partners.

Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated self-motivation to succeed in an on-the-job training environment, with the ability to work independently.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in analyzing financial statements and preparing credit documentation.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Continuous Learning: Commitment to ongoing professional development, including attending relevant workshops, seminars, and industry events.

Prior experience with financial analysis software and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software tools.

Other Requirements:

A strong foundation in credit analysis and a desire to advance within the Commercial Credit Department.

Willingness to participate in committee meetings and contribute to discussions related to credit decisions.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull weights or otherwise move objects weighing as much as 10 lbs. on a regular basis and/or for extended periods of time during the workday.

Occasional overtime or extended hours may be required.
