Role Overview
The CO/MLRO is a senior control function holder responsible for regulatory compliance, AML/CFT oversight, licensing, and governance.
The role supports businesses regulated by FSRA, DFSA, and/or VARA in the UAE and covers digital assets, virtual assets, and crypto-exchange activities.
The position is identified as an Approved Person Compliance Officer and MLRO for FSRA and DFSA regulated activities.
Regulatory Licensing and Authorizations
- Lead licensing, authorization, and variation of permission applications with FSRA, DFSA, and VARA.
- Act as the primary regulatory liaison for applications, submissions, and supervisory engagements.
- Prepare regulatory business plans, compliance frameworks, AML/CTF frameworks, governance documents, and Approved Person submissions.
- Coordinate regulatory queries, information requests, thematic reviews, inspections, and supervisory action plans.
Compliance Oversight
- Serve as the principal compliance contact with FSRA and DFSA.
- Design and maintain compliance frameworks for virtual assets, digital assets, and crypto-exchange operations.
