Job Description

Micro Gauge seeks an experienced and energetic CNC PROGRAMMER to join our growing team.

This key position will program, setup and operate CNC Machinery to fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts.

· Modular Multi-Station Machining Center

· Mills – Vertical & Horizontal

· Lathes – Single & Twin Spindle

· Broaching – Vertical & Horizontal

· Robotic & Gantry Loading

· Light Assembly


Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop CNC programs for new product
  • Work with Design Engineer to determine most effective workholding for new products
  • Control all machine program data
  • Organize machine setup priority and sequence with specific engineer
  • Work with engineers during setup to mark-up necessary documentation changes or required clarifications
  • Follow through on documentation changes to ensure implementation
  • Review machine concerns with supervisors to determine if it is maintenance or engineering
  • Ability to reduce setup time and machining through process improvements

Required Skills

  • M&G Code Programming for CNC Lathe (live tooling also preferred)
  • M&G Code Programming for 4 axis CNC Mill
  • Proficient with Fanuc controls
  • Understands, interprets, and edits Fanuc G-code programming
  • Machine set-up and operation
  • Reads and interprets blueprints
  • Good communication
  • MS Office
  • SolidWorks CAM desired
  • Macro Programming desired
  • AutoCAD desired
