- The salary range is CAD $46.37 to CAD $66.66 per hour, depending on experience.
Role overview
The Regional Clinical Engineer supports safe and effective management of medical devices across Lower Mainland hospitals.
The role works with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders on engineering, risk, project, capital planning, maintenance, and quality initiatives.
Core responsibilities
- Lead projects, strategic planning, resource planning, capital equipment planning, risk management, patient safety, and quality improvement activities.
- Support incident investigations, medical device alerts and recalls, technical risk assessments, implementation projects, and planned maintenance programs.
- Plan and manage service deliverables for designated department areas.
- Develop policies and protocols for the safe use, management, and technical support of medical equipment.
- Conduct safety tests and train clinical staff as required.
- Consult with clinical and administrative leaders on medical equipment technology.
- Coordinate project needs assessments, objectives, procedures, activities, and implementation strategies.
- Coordinate risk management protocols, incident investigations, hazard monitoring, and recall monitoring.
