Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:
- Welcome clients and patients with professionalism, empathy, and compassion
- Answer high-volume phone calls while appropriately prioritizing urgent patient needs
- Coordinate emergency walk-ins and scheduled appointments
- Accurately register patients and maintain electronic medical records
- Collect patient histories and verify client information
- Process invoices, payments, deposits, and other financial transactions
- Communicate clearly with veterinarians and technicians regarding patient flow
- Provide clients with updates, discharge instructions, and follow-up communication
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
- Support efficient hospital workflow through teamwork and collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Veterinary Client Service Representative preferred
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and professional during busy or emotionally challenging situations
- Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems and veterinary software
