- Ensure timely customs clearance of material into the Gateway
- Prepare export Customs declarations
- Maintain customer databases
- Resolve specific disputes or provide advice on technical issues with customers
- Maintain thorough knowledge of Customs practices and procedures
- Complete and manage inventory of all on hold shipments
- Maintain regular contact with customers in relation to held shipments
- Assist consignees in clearance of sensitive or restricted shipments
- Support the supervisor with practical experience and knowledge
- Liaise with customs officials on specific duties payable and problem shipments
- Comply with regulatory policy and rules
Requirements
- Intermediate service, production, or support role with greater responsibility
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Advanced MS Excel skills and minimum intermediate knowledge of formulas
- Fluent in English; Arabic language is an added advantage
- Critical thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to work on a team and independently
- Strong organizational skills
- Completed a minimum of 18 months in the current role or pre authorization from line manager

Overall Role Purpose
- Ensure timely customs clearance of material into the Gateway.
- Export Customs declarations.
- Ensure that customer databases are maintained.
- Resolve specific disputes or provide advice on technical issues with customers.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of Customs practices and procedures.

Your Tasks

Your Profile
- Intermediate service, production, or support role having greater responsibility to perform all (or most) of the standard work within the function.
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of a technical or specialty area.
- Readily learns and applies new information/concepts in area of practice.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Strong Analytical skills.
- Advanced MS Excel skills and minimum of intermediate knowledge of formulas.
- Fluent in English, Arabic language is an added advantage.

- Be an effective team player with ability to work under own initiative.
