- Ensure timely customs clearance of material into the Gateway
- Prepare export Customs declarations
- Maintain customer databases
- Resolve disputes or provide advice on technical issues with customers
- Maintain thorough knowledge of Customs practices and procedures
- Complete and manage inventory of all on hold shipments
- Liaise with customs officials on duties payable and problem shipments
Requirements
- Intermediate service, production, or support role experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Fluent in English
- Completed minimum of 18 months in current role or pre authorization from line manager

Overall Role Purpose
- Ensure timely customs clearance of material into the Gateway.
- Export Customs declarations.
- Ensure that customer databases are maintained.
- Resolve specific disputes or provide advice on technical issues with customers.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of Customs practices and procedures.
- Complete and manage inventory of all on hold shipments.
Your Tasks
- Maintain regular contact with customers in relation to held shipments.
- Assist consignees in clearance of sensitive or restricted shipments.
- Support the supervisor with practical experience and knowledge in daily activities.
- Liaise with customs officials on specific duties payable and problem shipments.
- Comply with the regulatory policy and rules.
Your Profile
- Intermediate service, production, or support role having greater responsibility.
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of a technical or specialty area.
- Readily learns and applies new information/concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Strong Analytical skills.
- Advanced MS Excel skills and minimum of intermediate knowledge of formulas.
- Fluent in English, Arabic language is an added advantage.
- Critical thinking.
- Attention to detail.
- Be an effective team player with ability to work under own initiative.
- Ability to work on a team and independently.
- Strong organizational skills.
